I founded Des Train AI in 2024 to put AI to work inside real businesses. I'm a full-stack engineer, product strategist, and business consultant, and I've been shipping software since 2008, including nine years at HiQ Finland, most recently as Lead AI Consultant. I work end to end: scoping where AI actually helps, shaping the product around it, building it in production, and keeping it running. Recent work runs from quick prototypes to systems that stay in production. I hold an MSc in Software Business and Strategic User-Centred Product Development and work with companies large and small, in English and Finnish.

In their wordsJonas Pomoell developed an AI-powered scheduling tool for harness racing events, incorporating machine learning techniques. The project made use of the extensive racing database of Suomen Hippos, which includes all competition performances of Finnish harness racing horses dating back to 1985. Jonas enriched the data by adding horse location details and creating an individualized influence zone for each racetrack. He showed great dedication to understanding the unique characteristics of the sport and was able to grasp the overall dynamics and interdependencies of the field. The final result was a comprehensive solution that enhances the well-being of both horses and people.
